CLOSE FOCUS ON A DEER
January 7th and 21st on Zoom
$25 for the two classes together
I hope to ease us into the cold new year with a look into the gentle-looking face of a deer or fawn. On early morning walks I enjoy getting a glimpse of a group of deer, especially when one turns to look at me before darting into the woods.
Let’s try to capture that look using your choice of media. I’ll demonstrate using watercolor paints and watercolor pencils so you can use either or both in your own piece.
Note: the emphasis in this class will not be on the initial drawing of the deer. I will explain how I draw it and tips I find helpful, but I will concentrate more on fleshing out the deer using value and subtle, soft color choices.
